About Our Studio

Hidden Door Floral Studio started in Los Angeles in 2018, founded by Anita — a floral designer trained at a European conservatory in Hungary. The training was classical: color theory, botanical architecture, and the old-school European approach to treating flowers as a design discipline rather than a retail commodity.

In LA, the studio built a following among clients who cared about the difference between arranged and designed. Interior stylists, production houses, and private clients who wanted flowers that looked considered rather than convenient. No advertising, no wire services — just referrals from people who noticed the quality.

In 2022, Anita brought the studio to Raleigh. The city’s growth and its appetite for well-made things made it the right fit for a studio that refuses to work from templates. Today we serve clients across the Triangle — designing each arrangement from scratch, using the best seasonal stems available, and delivering by hand every time.

How We Work

Every arrangement starts with the stems, not a recipe. We look at what came in that morning — the color, the condition, the personality of the blooms — and we compose from there. Some days the palette is soft and muted. Other days it’s bold and saturated. That’s the advantage of working seasonally and designing in real time: the work stays honest and the flowers stay interesting.

Anita has been featured at the North Carolina Museum of Art’s Art in Bloom, creating installations that interpret artworks through flowers. It’s the same creative instinct we bring to an everyday delivery — the same attention to detail, the same unwillingness to settle for ordinary.
